I'm going to see if I can attempt this again. The Hawks are 3-6-1 and and 2.5 games out of last place, so it's very natsukashii.
Today, they technically didn't lose 1-1 against the Fighters in Sapporo. They were held to 2 hits, and you'd think a team with Yanagita, Matsuda, and Balentien, now aided by the young bat of Kurihara would score more runs, but hey. It's still early.
I might post other stories of the Hawks of yore from personal experience as they come up, but we'll see. For now, here's the last game I attended (June 2018). The complete thrill in my face you see is the Hawks losing to the Carp 13-4.
